Janek's feel to hit and barrel accuracy are easily the best part of his game. His plate discipline is questionable and gets him into rough situations but the bat-to-ball skills allow him to be productive, that and slightly above-average bat speed and a line-drive all-fields approach. He was solid but not great on the Cape and will need to continue hitting the ball well. The glove is questionable; he graded out as a fringy receiver, below-average defender last year.
