You're probably reading this because of the peer pressure you're receiving from your group text or your Twitter timeline. Like I always say,
if you are the biggest college baseball fan in your friend group, YOU NEED A BETTER FRIEND GROUP!

Oh shoot, my bad... I meant your "X" timeline. You see, it was Twitter before we shut down the podcast for the off-season so please excuse me.

Okay anyways, the rumors are 100% true. We added on two key pieces for the 2024 season, and hopefully retain them forever. That's how special these guys are. But I am a transparent-realist type of person and I know both additions will be living in gated communities with an unlimited UberEats budget once ESPN or MLB Network come calling.

I'm going to give you guys the simplified version of our new hires because I don't want to speak for them and will do blogs on each one of them individually where we dive into details.

Who are they?

Mason McRae:

-If you have seen Moneyball, Mason is basically Peter Brand, played by Jonah Hill.

-Interned with the Chicago Cubs this past summer.

-Specializes in analyzing players thru Trackman data and video.

-Big Tyler Locklear fan (VCU 1st Rounded 2022)

Jack DeLongchamps:

-Imagine if Greg Amsinger from MLB Network and Pat McAfee had a baby.

-Founder of "Pencil Talk", a brand focused around interviewing interesting people with a pencil.

-Played baseball at Charleston Southern, and George Mason.

-Mid-Major guy thru and thru. Built tough.

What are they going to do at 11Point7?

Mason McRae: When we point to him, he speaks (Moneyball reference). He has the keys to the MLB Draft and College Prospects tab on our website and social media. His goal is to rank the top 1000 college prospects. He did it last year and pretty much half of the "MLB Draft experts" online copied his work because all of Mason's stuff was public.

Jack DeLongchamps: There is no question that he will do a mix of video, podcasting, and blogging because he's got a great sense of entertainment and knows what people want to consume. He has his own brand called "Pencil Talk" where he interviewed names such as Dylan Crews, Tommy White, Tony Vitello, etc. with a #2 pencil. Hilarious stuff. Also, Jack and myself will have a podcast together, just the two of us and a new guest every episode where we chop it up together.

If you want to know more about these guys, we just released a little 30 minute podcast where we talk with both of them together and it was a grand ole time.

Check it out on Apple Podcast, Spotify, or where ever you get your podcasts.

I'll be writing another blog soon to go a little deeper into our 2024 plans and we can discuss after. Expect that blog within the next 24 hours or so.

Until then, be good and go follow the new boys on Twitter:
