We got college baseball beef brewing already and we haven't even gotten to the other side of the New Year. Gamecocks catcher Cole Messina with the sarcastic 'lol' tweet after former 'Cock shortstop Michael Braswell throws some unneccessary shade at the South Carolina program during an LSU Tigers baseball show segment.

Braswell transferred to LSU this past summer after spending first 2 years of his career in Colombia. He has recently been named the starting SS for LSU by Head Coach Jay Johnson after what seems to be a solid fall season.

How can you expect any of the Gamecock players to watch this video and not think "🧢🧢" and respond? Braswell showed promise at times at Founders Park, but transferred to the defending champs searching for greener pastures

Buddy, just keep moving. There is absolutely zero reason to throw shade backwards, especially about things so insignificant. Whatever issues you had, keep it in-house, no reason to air your personal grudges to the public. It's easy to trash another program when you are now part of the defending champs feeling all big and mighty, but it ain't impressive. The worst of it all, he basically just called some of his former teammates "not very talented".

But, on a bright note, I will always commend Braswell for bringing the 90s drip back. I hope he rocks them this season at The Box.

LSU and South Carolina, unfortunately, do not face each other this upcoming season. Maybe in Hoover...
