Let's have some fun with this one. I'm a little rusty on the blogging side of things, and January conditioning tests (Dimitri yelling at me to do more work) is right around the corner.

Yes, Paige Spiranac has followed me on Twitter for over 3 years.

June 10, 2020 to be exact.

I've been thinking about getting that date tattoo'd on my thigh in Roman Numerals right next to where I have my son's birthday tatted for a while now. If she somehow retweets this blog, I might have to actually go thru with it.

But anyways, you guys are well aware that 90% of my Tweets are college baseball related and Ms. Spiranac still has yet to unfollow me. In fact, she has favorited a couple of them. No big deal, I always play it cool when it happens.

This raises the question... "Is Paige Spiranac a closet college baseball fan? Does she enjoy reading my tweets about hammering the over 10.5 runs in Mississippi State home games? Who are her Omaha sleepers this season?"

I'm going to go ahead and make the safe assumption that she's a loyal listener of the podcast. I mean, you would be considered a crazy person if you think she's never once clicked on the podcast link tweeted out at 2:45am Monday's and Friday's from January-June.

The game of me waiting on her to slide into my DM's came to a close earlier today when I was forced to message her asking if she cared to comment about the blog I was about to write. Still waiting on a response, but we all know she will probably wait 3.5 more years to reply since that's how long it took me to start the conversation. Girls are weird, man.

I don't know much about my internet friend, Paige, other than she attended the University of Arizona the year they won the College World Series (2012) before transferring to San Diego State, where she saw Tony Gwynn take the Aztec's to back-to-back regionals (2013 & 2014). It's pretty clear she knows a thing or two about our great sport.

It's only a matter of time before she starts asking Kendall Rogers if the Campbell Camels are going to host a regional this year.

The NFL has Taylor Swift, the NBA has Spike Lee, the MLB has Kate Upton-Verlander... now college baseball has Paige Spiranac. Done deal.

So what happens next?

Now that the cat is out of the bag and the whole world knows she doesn't hate college baseball, I expect to see her sneaking out to some ASUN midweek games to get her feet wet. Then she will probably feel comfortable enough to ask me if I have a FloSports login so she can watch the StateFarm Showdown in Arlington. And before you know it, boom, she's pulling a Kirk Herbstreet and throwing out the 1st pitch at 9:00am for the American Athletic Conference Tournament AND the 1st pitch of the 11:59pm rain delayed game in the SEC Tournament in the same day.
